If God had a name, what would it be?
And would you call it to His face
If you were faced with Him in all His glory?
What would you ask if you had just one question?

What if God was one of us?
Just a slob like one of us?
Just a stranger on a bus
Trying to make His way home

If God had a face, what would it look like?
And would you want to see
If seeing meant that you would have to believe
In things like heaven and in Jesus
And the Saints and all the Prophets

Dit liedje gaat ook over de vraag wie dat God eigenlijk is. Het is een vraag dat blijft leven onder de mensen en waar er niet echt een antwoord op is.
Ik vind dit een mooi liedje omdat het mezelf ook heeft doen nadenken. Wat als God nu echt iemand onder ons was? Hoe zouden we reageren als er bewijs zou zijn dat er inderdaad een God bestaat? Zouden er dan meer gelovigen zijn?
Dit zijn allemaal levensvragen waarop we geen duidelijk antwoord vinden.
